Hi friends! I don’t see an option on Planta for care schedule with seeds (vs plant). I researched that the water/sun/humidity needs are different when they’re just seeds. I planted some Thai basil seeds in a fabric planter yesterday. Wet the soil and put a clear plastic plant tray on the top to hold in water (and create humidity?). I also put a grow light over it, about 4 feet distance with 8 hours of light. I’m not sure if this is correct and would welcome any suggestions:)

Hello! Yes, I wish Planta had guidance specifically for germination and seedlings. I typically use humidity domes only for the germination process! Once the seeds sprout, I don't worry too much about humidity anymore. I've never used fabric containers but it looks like you're doing everything right! A pro tip i recently learned either from this app or from Reddit is salad containers for sprouting. Poke holes in the bottom (if it doesnt already have any), fill 3/4 of the way with soil. Leaves enough room for long roots and for you to use the salad container's lid as a humidity dome in the early stage! Good luck to you!

Yep, should be fine. And if you plant it in a planter and let it go to seed at the end of the season, you'll have baby Thai basil again next year! Careful, though... I had Thai basil babies EVERYWHERE. I had to weed 80% of them out!

I would welcome Thai basil babies everywhere lol. None of my nearby grocery stores carry it so I’ve resorted to growing my own.

Your welcome one more thing you really don’t have to water them because they are like a greenhouse so maybe once a week
