Looks more like a piece of the mother plants skin/stem that attaches when you take off the leaves. They do take a while depending on the type of succulent. I find any crossbreeds like groptoveria /sedeveria, as well as ones with thicker leaves like sedum grow faster and echiverias tend to sprouts slower

It can take upwards of a fre months for succulents to prop. Make sure they have really good bright light

And if the leaves you are trying to propagate are torn, start to look see-through or shriveled, they most likely are not going to sprout. Can be hit or miss sometimes. But it’s so fun to try 😊

Rooting powder usually accelerated it to less than three weeks if you're impatient. I find it produces more and stronger too. I like bonitone II for succulents and props!

I’ve never had luck with rooting these, until I fully bagged them. I use a tiny glass bowl from my kitchen, moist soil, and lay the little nubs on top. Then I put the whole thing in a ziplock bag and leave it near my kitchen window. I don’t even know how many months it has been, but I finally have teeny tiny plants at the end of every nub. My lovely kitty just ripped apart the larger original plant, so I’ve done the same bag method to try and get a few more plants from those bits. But seriously, I never had any luck until I bagged the whole bowl/pot. Check back in a week or two and remove anything that’s obviously dead, reseal the bag and then forget about it for a long while.
