Root rot happens when there is too much moisture in the soil. Along with the lack of oxygen that mucky wet soil causes. This is why so many people make their own soil so that it’s “airy” and the water drains through instead of acting like a sponge and essentially drowning the roots. Water (h2O) has lots of oxygen in it. It’s when there’s too much algae growth on the roots and water that you get water propagation issues. Again due to lack of oxygen. Hydrogen peroxide helps with both. A drop in the water for propagation and a spray on the roots before going into soil. I’ll add; you want your potted plants to be using the water you’re giving them in a relatively short time, if it’s taking a long time to dry out after watering it most likely needs better draining soil or a smaller pot.

Do you mean when I put them in soil I should use the water that they were propagating in to water them at first?

I think Jill was answering some next steps questions. You don’t need to water with the water you used to propagate. These roots look great and healthy — no signs of rot

Yes I was talking about how to avoid rot all together since you were concerned. They look good 👍
