I just got this plant about a week ago and I want to propagate it to give one to my mom. Is there anywhere I can chop to do that or do I need to wait till mine grows bigger? Also I have it in a potting soil/perlite/orchard bark mix fertilize once a month and have it next to my rain humidifier lamp in a north facing window. Is this suitable for this type of plant?
Yes that’d be fine for a potting mix however I’d wait until you see aerial roots to propagate!

North window is ok but a south or east might be better

I agree that a north facing window may be too little light. An east facing window would be great, or a couple feet back from a south facing window, or by a west facing window window with a sheer curtain would be ideal. Otherwise perfect set up! I’d wait to propogate it until it’s a little bigger.
