I have had this start for over two years. It formally had two leaves, and then grew this sprout, and the original leaves died. Am I ever going to get more from this plant? It just keeps getting taller, but it’s not getting more leaves. I’m not even sure this is the type of plant it is.
Are you sure this is a Hoya? This looks like a ZZ plant, is there a rhizome connected to the stem beneath the soil? My baby ZZ’s for reference
Only 2 leaf growth in two years would mean insufficient light, water and/or fertilizer. Hoyas can grow slowly sometimes, but, not this slowly. 🪴🍀

I also agree that this is a ZZ plant not a hoya, chances are the schedule the app is giving you is wrong for the plant you have. Switch it to a ZZ and hopefully that will help
2件のいいね Thanks for the advice! I gently un-potted and see there is a rhizome with two sprouts. I think it was potted too deeply and Planta identified it as the wrong plant. Repotting with rhizome closer to the surface, changing it’s care advice and adding it under my grow light. 🤞🏻

I’m almost positive this is a zz plant(including a picture of mine for reference) but may need fertilizer and more light.
