Hi. I’d like to grow a lemon tree indoors. Can you start from seed from one in store purchased lemon? I can’t get a starter plant shipped to me in AK- even during summer months. Any suggestions?

Is there some special prep for the seeds?

I would put the seed on a damp paper towel in a plastic bag to germinate. Lemons need high humidity & down the line if you want fruit you will have to manually pollinate 🍋

I kinda thought that on the pollination bit- but the wet towels is a great help. I’ve had to soak my hibiscus seeds before planting so that makes sense. Thx

I've got one on the go currently; planted a few seeds straight from a supermarket lemon into a pot on my windowsill about six months ago. I think I put a plastic bag over the top until I saw seedlings. Liz Lemon here is the only survivor of those.
