My fiddle fig is really sparse around the middle of his branch. Is there a way to air propogate this? In one of those little balls/Saran wrap filled with sphagnum moss so that it takes root and I can plant it again or something? Or is there a way to get him to grow new leaves in that area somehow? I really don't wanna cut him 😔

There are some great YouTube videos on notching flf’s! I think that would be your best bet if you don’t want to chop it. It can help fill in sparser leaves but it takes a while and doesn’t always work

Notching? Okay I'll look into that! Thank you!

Yeah! The actual notching is the same no matter the type of ficus

The Audrey and flf are the same species so their care is pretty similar

That looks more like a ficus Audrey than a fiddle leaf fig- in case the care requirements are different!

Okay I didn't really know there's a difference haha. Ones fuzzy the other one is smooth, that's about what I figured. Thank you!

I agree, lookin less like fiddle leaf. You could air layer to get a 2nd plant. Or like Kades said, wound it and apply keiki paste to encourage new leaf growth to fill it out.
