Ok, I'm ashamed to say I've never propagated anything, but I needed to help my dieffenbachia reflector. It was growing outwards and needed a trim. I trimmed it down to the bottom of the stems, then took the tops of those pieces and made a whole new plant. The other pieces I layed flat on some dirt. Is this the way?

Don’t be ashamed! We all have been here 😂❤️ you did a great job! Just make sure the cutting that have leafs have the little nodes on them before you cut them or they won’t grow! Same thing for the ones laying down! Just make sure some of their nodes on each price are touching the soil. Also I’d give the a light watering after about a day of them resting on the soil. (If you already watered them, all good! This is just to help them not root!)

I actually ended up moving them into a Tupperware with perlite and some aquarium substrate beneath. That's how I grow my corms so I figured it would be similar? 😅
