Propagated my polka dot plant, but they always struggle to survive once the roots are long enough and I repot them. Any advice?

plantgeekdefine struggle. are they just droopy and a little sad? or do they full on shock and die? if they're just droopy for a while, that's totally normal and they'll pick right back up in a few weeks. if they're straight up dying, there might be something off about the way you're potting them. either too big of a pot, watering too frequently or not frequently enough, possibly even the soil you're using.

The first time seems like it was shock - I think the pot I planted in was too big. The second time around, I picked a much smaller pot and the stem looks healthy but the leaves have been droopy and sad.

how long has it been? usually around a month and a half is where i see improvement in my props

I propagated them for weeks until there were a few inches of root growth. I repotted the second one just the other day, and this is what I'm working with now.
