Not sure what variety the bigger tradescantia is but I found it on the ground at Lowe’s and couldn’t wait to chop and prop it in water. I was only able to make two cuttings and it looks like they’re both surviving and one is even pushing out a new growth point .

    They're both the same! I have a pot full hanging in my bathroom and the leaves change their texture and color like every week. They don't age well and the older ones fall off after about a month so that could be what you're seeing.

    This baby was started from a prop in September! They do great, you’ll love it ❤️

    It's a Zebrina Tradescantia. They grow very rapidly and you can actually just chop and put them right back in soil and they will grow. It's a easy way to make your plant fuller. I just did it with this one. Good luck
