Help, I was gifted this plant and I have no idea what it is. The scanner says Natal plum but I’m not convinced. I want to make sure I care for this beauty properly. Any information will be so helpful!

2 LikesThank you so much! That put me on the right track. Looks like it may be a hoya cumingiana. Super excited for her to bloom if that’s the case!

2 LikesIt’s definitely a Hoya Cumingiana. It’s an easy care plant. Mine is in a 6” pot putting out a few blooms. They smell like ripe mangoes. The sun stress is cool too.
2 LikesSo beautiful! I can’t wait to smell the blooms!
0 LikesOh so beautiful! I hope mine does well!
1 LikeThe yellow leaves could indicate over watering. Hoyas like to stay on the dry side or they will quickly develop root rot. Their origin is to climb trees/rocks using aerial roots to get rain runoff from the structures. They put little roots in deep soil. I water my Hoya Cumingiana, then, let the chunky mix completely dry out before watering again.
