Anybody had any luck with propagating Christmas cacti? I planted a few pieces together that have several nodes and some have the Y-split node that I’ve heard was good for propagating. I’ve been misting and lightly watering but I see no new growth. Any suggestions or do they just take longer?

Do you mean root growth or new little “leaves” (idk what they are called)?

No new little leaves. Not sure if I should water more often instead of misting all the time like Planta says 😅

Gotcha! I’ve never misted my Christmas or thanksgiving cactuses. Propagating or as full grown plants. I would personally lean more towards watering. I’ve been propagating some Christmas cactus cuttings since Christmas; and just moved them to substrate about a week and half ago. No new “leaf” growth but the roots are going to town! My guess would be that if they are under 6 months old, they are probably focusing on roots vs “leaves”.
