Hey! Wanted opinions on what works better for ficus tineke propagation for some stem cuts. Water or soil? Keep it in window indirect light or less light, grow light? I haven’t had too much luck in soil with this plant but if anyone has a recommendation it would be much appreciated.

    I’m currently doing 2 different size props. Both in water. Larger prop 60cm away from a west facing window, smaller prop directly in a north facing window. Both have taken about 3 weeks to show root growth. You absolutely MUST let these callous extremely well to be successful though.

      Thank you! Yes I let them callous for 24hrs. I’m going to go with water this time. I think I will try what you did. One in a north window and I have an east window I can try as well. Thank you!

    I would do it in water! I put mine in a north/east facing window and it did well at my parent’s house in Florida.

      I’m in FL too! Water in the window it is. Fingers crossed. I was pretty sad to cut this plant but it’s going to be better this round.

      Oh thank you! I took the cutting from that and once it rooted, I gave it to my old roommate bc she loved it too. I can ask her for pics but she said it’s doing great the last time we talked!
