This monstera is a complicated mess 🙈 can anyone help me determine where I can cut to propagate and how many? About 5 or 6 long, overgrown, roots too. Not sure if I should cut these or try to stick them all in the soil? TIA! 🌱

plantgeekcut after the third exposed node on both of them, repot so the stems are in the middle and support the stems so they go upwards- it's not as ugly, LOL . let the cuttings dry out for a day or two and stick them in water. i've heard good things about sphagnum and perlite too.

Sorry, I’m a beginner 🙈 what do you mean by “both of them”? To me it’s just a whole bunch of stems and leaves intertwined so it’s tough to differentiate what’s what. Are there 2 main stems here? Good idea for repotting - I’m sure this would help a lot! And good to know about sphagnum and perlite too. Thank you!

yes, there looks to be two stems. they can be separated and put in different pots if that makes it easier for you, but they'll do just fine if you don't want to divide the plant. it looks like there might be more than two in that pot as well, and you can do the same for those as well.

I think they’re both connected to the same main stem which is unfortunate because I think that makes it more complicated 🙈 and one node has about 4 or 5 aerial roots all coming out of the same spot which also limits where I can cut too I think. I’ll try to show in pics. Really appreciate your help!
