I would let them get to at least 4 inches long before repotting.

Once they have a more established root system you could add liquid fertilizer to the water. I’ve had luck with Purived liquid fertilizer (you can get it on tik tok shop or Amazon)

I wait til the roots are all at least 2 inches long, usually a baby will start forming as well. Also adding a rooting hormone or a pothos cutting can help speed up the process :)

Snake plants are notorious slow rooters. Expect atleast 9 months of propping before planting usually.

I liked the 9 month bit of info. Do we have a root reveal party to celebrate? Green means it’s got roots. Brown means it’s got no roots. I’m no snake plant specialist. If anything most would say I’m more of a snake plant serial killer for the toughest plant to kill (or so they say.) Since there are two methods of propagating snake plants, in water or in soil, then why aren’t there enough roots? I would think some small terra cotta pot, with some small amount of soil for snake plants, would be happier than a clam. Or at least happier than the clams old shell that you find down by the sea shore. Sally sells snake plants in sea shells down by the sea shore with snakes. Yikes. 😵‍💫🥸🤓🤪🤣
