Does anyone know how to be sure that a bromeliad will have pups? I recently found out that they die after 2 years and it's almost been that amount of time since I got it. I really want to grow another one. Thanks!

If I have it right, they will have pops after they have flowered or begin during the flowering. Just let the parent grow in its preferred conditions until the pups develop at the base of the plant. Don't transplant them until they are a decent size. They need to have at least a little bit of root to transplant. Not much but at least a little.
