I've been propagating succulent leaves. At what point do I plant them? Do I put the end with the growth straight in the dirt? I've never propogated succulents before. The pic is the current state of the cuttings I linked from my Planta account.

Following! I’ve got some first time succulent props doing surprisingly well but looks like you’re a few weeks ahead of me. Keep me posted!!!
1 j'aimeThis is the first set. I started two others after. The third one has leaves from unknown plants, as I picked them up from the floor at HD and WM. 🤣 So whatever grows will be a surprise.
4 J'aimeI also pick up from floor of HD! 😆
4 J'aimeI love propagating succulents! You’ve got some great ones growing. You want to wait to plant when the main leaf (or the mama leaf) has shriveled. Your new plant that is growing is using the soil and the water from the mama leaf to grow a new plant. Once the mama leaf has no more water to give, think of it as the reserves are empty so the new plant is now ready to be planted on its own
6 J'aimeThanks! I'll leave them as is for now, then. I just watered them.
0 J'aimeNo need to even water them. They’re getting the water from the mama leaf
0 J'aimeThe leaves will shrivel up, just remove them, the babies will already be rooted.
2 J'aimeI had to water. The soil got dry and the parent leaves were starting to wrinkle. Some of them had not grown roots or baby leaves yet. I do not have them in a lot of dirt, so they dry out in a couple of weeks.
0 J'aimePretty much what mine look like. Some are super tiny but I’m so impatient. When do they get bigger than a speck? lol
1 j'aimeOh, they will grow. Mine have gotten larger sine I wrote this post. But I have not potted them yet.
