Hi there! From my personal experience, it is best to keep the calloused end of the succulent in direct contact with the dirt. I usually don’t water until they all start growing roots (usually are white in color) that are about an inch long, and water them very lightly so they don’t get root rot. I hope this helps!!

0 gillningarOf course!! Tik tok also has great tutorials from users who own plant shops - some reliable tutorials on there! :)
1 gillaI’ll check that out then as well :)

1 gillaLooks like you are doing it perfectly!❤️ You just lay the leaves on top of the soil because they send a root down into the dirt and a pup up facing the sky. They both come out of the same spot so you shouldn’t bury it at all. I keep mine on a tray like this and mist it every day. You want to get the roots and dirt slightly moist so the plants will feel safe to make roots. But you also want the leaves to dry out within an hour and the dirt to dry out within a few hours so nothing rots. For me, that’s misting once a day.
2 gillningarAlso, it will only work if the leaves are healthy. Any that are mushy or have rotten or dried out tips won’t work. Try to choose the healthiest leaves you can. Please know that you can do everything correct and they still might not all work.😊
1 gillaOkay thank you for the advice!! :)
