I had lots of succulents that were dropping leaves and I wasn't sure that they would recover so I decided to try and propagate from the dropped leaves as some of them were already rooting, I only had standard potting soil so I planted about 15 in small seedling trays back in September time, these are the remaining ones that haven't rotted away, do I do something with them or just leave them be for longer *parent plant for photo tax

    The leaves were growing roots just sitting on a shelf without soil or water. So, they can grow without being planted. They are rotting from sitting in wet soil. Check the photos online of propagating succulents. Just lay the leaves on top of the dry soil. Mist once a week with diluted liquid fertilizer or plain water.. But, that’s not even needed. The leaf will use its own energy to put out roots and a new baby plant. The baby plant will use the energy to grow and the mother leaf will dry out. My pic shows new plants growing from leaves. The upright one planted its and stood vertical!

      Keep the pot in a brightly lit location.

    You might be overwatering it. Make sure to wait till the soil is dry.
