My kalanchoe is growing roots way up on the stem randomly. Is it trying to tell me it wants to be cut and replanted at those areas? I had it in the dark for a few days (trying to get it to bloom) then this happened lol

    It loos under watered based on the thin wrinkled leaves. It will put out aerial roots to look for water and when it thinks the plant is dying from dehydration. The roots will tap into the soil if the plant falls over. 🪴🍀

      At some point, when it’s in better shape, consider taking cuttings and repot to get rid of the leggy stems. Kalanchoes are usually compact with dark green firm leaves and the leaf nodes are very close together. Repotting, regular fertilizer, good lighting and watering when the leaves are a little bendy and slightly wrinkled will help it to recover. They flower when healthy. 🪴🍀

      I agree. Mine got really leggy and it seems it wasn’t getting enough light from the window, whereas a colleague who has a cutting of it and has hers in a much brighter spot got hers to flower! So I’m moving mine and looking at a grow light for winter
