Snail DivaLove your set up. Any tips for tc Alocasias? I’ve order about 8 philo to practice on as my end goal is some rarer alocasias. How different are they to acclimate? ☺️

I do all my TC’s the same way regardless of plant type. I have 100% success so far with Alocasia, Anthurium, Monstera, Colocasia, Philodendron, cherry tree (for Bonsai) and I have done Aglaonema, and Musas. Spray area down with isopropyl alcohol, clean hands or gloves, Distilled water to clean the roots, i use a paint brush to help clean the roots, then fresh lukewarm distilled water to let the culture soak 15 mins. I have used 50/50 fluval perlite or coco fiber, perlite, lecca mix. Both work great it just depends what I have on hand. Then I either use dome cups or I tape two plastic cups together (both work the same so again just depends what I have on hand) 100% humidity for 7 days. Then I use a soldering pen to puncture a hole. Week 2 I add 2 holes, week 3 gets 3 holes added and so on until around week 6 or they are at 60% humidity then I take the lids off and leave them in the cabinet until they out grow the cabinet. Then they move out into my house 🥰 This Jacklyn just graduated out of the cabinet

Awesome thank you so much! I was wondering since the seller is listing alocasias as finicky in tc but you confirmed what i thought; with a good protocol there is technically no issue regardless of the plant! Here is my Philodendron Bipinnatifidum Gold, your Jacklyn is beautiful 😍
