UPDATE ON PREVIOUS POST: I moved a Ficus cutting that had rooted in water and moved it to soil. I was really worried about it taking to the soil but there’s already a root growing out the bottom drainage hole 🙌😭🙌. This one’s definitely a success!

I decided to rescue a ficus elastica Belize back in July from a pet store selling terrarium plants that were, I kid you not, sitting in a kiddie pool (so they were constantly wet). All the plants had soaking wet soil and half of them had webbing. It’s a miracle she was as healthy as she was, and only had one damaged leaf. Hosed her down with insecticidal soap and neem oil, reduced her completely to her roots in case anything was hiding in her soil that I didn’t see, was terrified she’d go through some serious shock, but she’s been great since I got her 😮‍💨 wishing yours gives you as little trouble as mine 😉
