I recently cut up a very leggy small monstera and have been trying to propagate the stem cuttings. I started them with moss in a closed container but ran into rot and mold, I then tried the same thing with perlite but ran into the same problem. I dried out the cuttings each time but it didn’t seem to make a difference. I now have them in open containers with the perlite and they’ve been fine for the last day or two but I’m hoping there’s a better way since this is getting a little high maintenance. I’d appreciate any advice!

I’ve had success doing this is a water propagation personally! Does your lid have breathing holes?

Cut the longer roots off and place it in the perlite (where the roots were) side down
