letsfindjoyWhere did it break off? You need part of the stem with a node on it to propagate a philodendron.

it is to the right of the new growth. prob should’ve made it more obvious, but the leaf that broke up (the one with my hand next to it) broke off with about 3-4 inches of stem

That hairy part is actually the petiole, not the stem. I do think you also have it planted too deep into the Leca.

You can put the leaf into water to enjoy it as long as it lasts like you do with a vase of flowers, but it will not root and will eventually die.

ugh so sad. thank you tho. do u think new growth will come out of the broken stem?
