hey! i recently got this Philodendron squamiferum, however in transit, the biggest leaf broke off. what’s the best way to propagate it?

    Where did it break off? You need part of the stem with a node on it to propagate a philodendron.

      it is to the right of the new growth. prob should’ve made it more obvious, but the leaf that broke up (the one with my hand next to it) broke off with about 3-4 inches of stem

      That hairy part is actually the petiole, not the stem. I do think you also have it planted too deep into the Leca.

      The stem is what the petioles are connected to

      You can put the leaf into water to enjoy it as long as it lasts like you do with a vase of flowers, but it will not root and will eventually die.
