I lobbed off the tops of my polka dot plants. A little rooting hormone and in the dirt they go. I’ve not yet been successful propagating polka dots in either water or dirt but it’d be a shame not to try, right? Any advice is welcome!

Manic1I haven’t tried water propagation for my polka dots but I’ve done exactly as you described but without the rooting hormone, and had success just stripping the bottom leaves and sticking it back in a pot. I think mine is called Li’l polka dots and is situated in my front room (if you want to have a look 👀).

I just tried recently with a high failure rate. I actually found that it worked better when the bottom leaves are stripped and the stems are relatively short. Soil propagation worked better than water. It was also important to not let soil dry out. Hope these tips lead you to more successes!
