I got this from my monstera after I dropped her today and this shook loose. Can I prop this? Should I do water or straight to soil? Everything feels healthy on her just my oopsie. I’m pretty new to propagating so any and all advice is welcome
Either water or soil should work, but if you're doing soil and can't pot it up immediately, then keep it in water until you plant it. There's already a root so it should establish itself easily. It's less shocking for the plant if it is rooted in soil, although it's harder to see how it's progressing. If you want to watch the roots grow, then put it in water, just make sure to change the water regularly and use ambient temp water. If you go straight to soil, choose a small pot (10cm or under) and water it by touch, not by a schedule. Then just leave it to do its thing. You'll know when it's ready to transplant because the roots will grow out of the pot. Don't mess with it or pull it out of the soil to check! If it's in water, make sure the leaves are getting light, but it's better for the roots to be in darkness, so try to shade them somehow (opaque tape, or just with how you position it). You got this

I like to put hydrogen peroxide with my water for props - it helps aerate the roots and prevents rot
