Hi! This came off of my new plant that I bought earlier. Could I propagate it? If so how? I’m a new plant mom and have no idea what I’m doing lol!

I am not sure what plant that is, but if it's a succulent, you can prop from just a leaf. If it's another type of plant, you need a node (which usually looks like a bump along the stem) in order to propagate. If it is a succulent, then lay the leaf down flat on top of some cactus soil. Wait a day or two and then start watering the soil (near but not on the leaf) to keep it humid. The damaged end will make a new little succulent if it works. If it's not a succulent, you could convince the leaf to root, but without a node it'd never be anything more than just a single leaf

Hi, it’s a peperomia plant ( hope plant ). Thank you for that info! I do want succulents as well :), so I’ll keep this information noted.

I propagated a Peperomia Hope plant by just putting a leaf like you have there into soil- with the stem portion in the soil (like little gravestones). It took a long time, but eventually I got some little baby shoots coming up.
