What’s the best way to propagate this dumb cane? Well… what’s left of it. I thought it was done so I set it outside and it started to grow leaves.

I’d let it grow a little more before propagating but I just cut the stems off and put them in water, mine was looking really sad and sad so I was experimenting a little, now she’s getting healthy again. But I think yours needs to grow a little and where there is only the one stem you wouldn’t need to cut anything, if you want to down size the pot check the root ball and if it needs some growth you could put it in water for a bit until it’s healthier, but I think it’s not needing to be propagated..
いいね 1件I’d say cut where the red is and is the green circle new growth? Or just a blemish? If that is new growth put it in water, but yeah wait for it to grow a bit more so there are leafs on each section, then once cut place in water, you can add some fertilizer to it, or just leave it normal water, and switch out the water each week for fresh water. Some natural fertilizer if you don’t want to spend on it you can take banana peels and soak them over night in water and then use that water.
いいね 1件For sure gonna get some bananas now every time I go grocery shopping!! Thank you!!! Is banana water safe for any plant propagation? Yes. Looks like it is a new growth. I have a few on the other side of the stem too. What do you mean “put in water”? Like carve it out of the stem?
