Snake cuttings in water can take 2-3 months to root, so patience is key!

Do they do better in soil?

I’ve never propagated in soil, I’ve only used water. I know if you can get ‘pups’ off of the mother plant you can transplant those directly into soil since they already have roots. I like to water prop personally cuz I can assess the roots, and watering is very low maintenanc

I had some of the same batch that grew really well in water and others didn’t so I put them all in soil (the rooted ones separate from the non rooted ones) and the nonrooted ones took off. So in the end every cutting grew a new pup some even two. But it did take a LONG time
