Do you know if this would work to propagate this aloe Vera plant, I saw someone do this a while back. (If it would not work, any suggestions?)

The end needs to be calloused before placing in soil/watering. In my experience it’s very hard to propagate aloes. It may rot, so watch it carefully
1 j'aimeThe end is calloused
1 j'aimeIt can work. You might have a better outcome in perlite. It'll allow for more drainage with an aloe
2 J'aimeOk, i will try that

0 J'aimeHow long do you think it would take to start growing
0 J'aimeUsually if a cutting has proper light, it'll take a month or so to start to get proper roots
1 j'aimeDoes this change if it is not cut
0 J'aimeWhat do you mean? Like a division with roots already?
0 J'aimeSorry I meant how long would it take for a second leaf (is that what they’re called?) to start to grow out of the soil. Or do I have to cut off a price of the leaf to have it propagate? (I have not cut it yet, it is a leaf that has a calloused end still attached to the plant)
0 J'aimeDid this work in the end?
