Maybe, there’s plenty of nodes but there’s also no leaves for it to get nutrients through. Worth a shot though!

So I did something similar with my first prop experiment. It was from an older pothos I had. She was just a 3in long piece of stem, no leaves, but lots of "nubs". Lol found out later they were Nodes and necessary for it to grow. Needless to say, she's still growing...albeit slow, but growing. Have hope. Good luck. 🧡

Hi! Another thing you can do with this is put it in a cup of sphagnum moss or perlite and under a light or near window. Because you have a few nodes in that cutting, it should start sprouting.

Awesome! If you run into any trouble or need help getting started i recommend looking up “node propagation” or “wet stick propagation” and there’ll be a lot of resources that can better walk you through it. Funnily enough, i’m also doing a node propagation of a begonia as well!

Oh mine is so pretty! A light pink Rieger I bought and thought I killed before I got Planta!

Have you ever used a hormone? I keep reading it when I research propagation.

I was able to root a begonia stem in water. Soon I’ll get to transfer it to soil. Also, adding some liquid/soluble hormones can help too. These pictures are from when they started rooting within 3-4 weeks of being in water and no hormones at that time.
