What happened here? 😅 the left photo is the mother plant tradescantia nanouk, who wasn’t doing too good so I propagated her, and on the right is the baby plant. How and why are they almost looking like completely different plants? 😂 the baby’s leaves are much larger and do not have the variegation, even if both plants are getting the same amount of light. What is the science behind this?

    On the plus side, your baby looks healthy and happy if not purple. Generally the nanook variegation is considered stable but obviously it occasionally goes green. All the information I have read suggests that changes in color are related to light and temperature. Why your two plants are different I can't say. Sorry.

    It reverted! I’ve had that with a different tradescantia variety, I thought in my case it was the light conditions but there can be a few reasons
