Please help my plant! I was given this crown of thorns stem cutting from my aunt, a beautiful little piece with flowers. Now the flowers are wilted and leaves aren’t doing well. I think I did the mistake of placing the cutting in a jar of water to grow roots, but learned they don’t really like water so planted it in succulent/cactus soil. But so far hasn’t sprung back up. Any advice or suggestions to get this plant to regain its vibrancy?

idk much abt this plant but if it doesn’t have roots, i’d put it back in water. succulents don’t like to sit in water (with soil) but almost all plants need water (and it’s oxygen) to breathe. given, water helps the roots grow. the flower will die off but the leaves will be okay. then you can plant in soil once roots are abt an inch.

since this is a cactus, i do not recommend rooting it in water. find a terracotta saucer and just lay your cactus on that. the moisture in the terracotta will help the euphorbia grow roots after it calluses over.
