What do y'all think I should do with this monstera? I bought it from someone on Facebook and when I got it home repotted it because the pot was way too big and surprise surprise, root rot. Should I leave it as is and try to propagate it or should I need to accept defeat and cut up the plant to just nodes and start this cutting over? It has no roots, the stems are pretty weak (I suspect they chopped it up into smaller plants and left it with low light) I've had it in moist perlite for about 1.5 weeks and I know it takes a while for root to grow but already chopped this plant up from another weak steam growth. This is my first time propagating so trying to do it right and save this monstera What are the yellow looking nodes? I didn't notice those when I first got it and inspected the plant

I’d chop off the rot & try to reroot it in water or in spag moss as long as there are nodes it should work I would think .

Do you think I should leave the plant as is or just chop it down to the nodes and throw the leaves away? I've cut off all the rot, I've been trying to propagate it as is and it's only been about a week or two so I know it's gonna take a while

I would keep the leaves it will help with photosynthesis . I would prob cut it just below the nodes/aerial root just to make sure I got all the rot . That’s just what I would do others may have other suggestions .

Mine took about 2 months to start rooting and it had a reallyy nice start when I got it! This guy will take some time! I would expect 3 months or so for roots but I just did water prop, so maybe perlite would be better … I also would cut the roots off and start with the node, keep the leaves on!
