New to propagating and wondering if these are ready to be planted yet? Thanks in advance(:

Leave them in water for another week or two and let the roots grow a little more and then I would say it probably will be ready. If you allow it to get a big enough fruit system first, it could have a better chance of not dying.

waiting until the plant develops secondary roots (more root shoots coming off of the roots already there) has always worked the best for me
3개 좋아요It’s a tradescantia. Very hardy. You can propagate directly into soil and skip water propagation with it. So, they are definitely ready for soil. Typically, at least 2 inches of roots showing is good enough for the standard cutting. Add rooting hormone powder to the soil will help. I also add SuperThrive plant vitamins when watering. 🍀🪴
