New to propagating and wondering if these are ready to be planted yet? Thanks in advance(:

Leave them in water for another week or two and let the roots grow a little more and then I would say it probably will be ready. If you allow it to get a big enough fruit system first, it could have a better chance of not dying.

waiting until the plant develops secondary roots (more root shoots coming off of the roots already there) has always worked the best for me
3件のいいねIt’s a tradescantia. Very hardy. You can propagate directly into soil and skip water propagation with it. So, they are definitely ready for soil. Typically, at least 2 inches of roots showing is good enough for the standard cutting. Add rooting hormone powder to the soil will help. I also add SuperThrive plant vitamins when watering. 🍀🪴
