My spider plant is finally growing babies!!! When and how should I propagate them or should I leave them bee?

    I let my get big then cut off at the red line in my rough drawing. Then I cut close to them right at the base and then this is them now

    Wait until the baby plant puts out lots of roots before cutting it. It gives it a better chance of survival. You can propagate in both soil or water. I like using soil. Hawaiian varieties hold onto their babies a long time. You don’t even have to propagate them. My photo shows an Hawaiian spider plant babies I propagated. It sits in full sun most of the day. So, the variegations are whiter.

    They are very easy to propagate even when they don't have much size but I agree waiting until there are some roots give them a greater chance of developing healthy. Once the plant is large enough they also divide quite easily.
