(Post copied from a different group where it wasn’t getting any responses) I have some nice sproutlings that emerged from my starter plugs. Should I push the plugs into soil or gently pull out the sproutlings and plant directly into new soil. And if so, how tall should the sproutlings be before pulling them out of plug? And what, isn’t sproutling a word? It’s underlined in red as if it isn’t!

Just plant those plugs right into the soil no reason to disturb the roots. And no, sproutling isn’t a word. Sprouts is the word you’re looking for :)

Okay, I put around 5 seeds in each starter, after germinating them for a few days in a paper towel/plastic bag. Is that okay or was it supposed to be one seed per starter plug? I am having several new shoots coming up and just curious if I need to separate them or what

What type of plant? Usually it’s ok to start with several seeds in one but then you thin to your strongest one.
