It took about a week and a half for the nub to burst and finally grow roots and it’s been growing fast ever since

Here are some beginner planter tips from my own experience! 😋 When I first started taking care of plants I was wayyy too heavy with water (which this app doesn’t help - they suggest to over water in my experience fyi). Wait until you can feel that the leaves are softer and droopier (meaning the leaves are less filled with water and thirsty). This is a better method in my opinion as dry soil doesn’t always mean a thirsty plant. Plants die wayyy faster from over watering than under watering. A good rule of thumb is the thicker the plant, the more water it can retain, which means the less often it needs to be watered. The thinner it is, the less water it can retain so the more it needs to be watered. (Also usually the thicker the plant the more sun it likes.) If you start to get yellow leaves, try to water less or give it more sun or a grow light. Monsteras like a lot of light in my experience!! I’ve had mine living in water for months and she likes to get a lotttt of direct sunlight. Hope this helps! Seems like you’re getting the hang of it quickly! 🙂
