I have been propagating my dragon tree in water for several weeks and the roots are growing nicely, but they’re growing off the side of the cutting instead of the bottom. Should I cut off more of the bottom where no roots are growing before re planting the cutting?

Would also like to know lol, my sister in law recently gave me a cutting I potted it 😅

That’s normal. They won’t grow out of the bottom of the stem. They’ll grow out of nodes which are typically on either side :)

I propagated a plant once & cut the “extra” that wasn’t growing roots & the new root growth rotted. It totally may have just been me but I wouldn’t recommend it..
