When watering my plant, this limb TRAGICALLY got caught on the kitchen cabinet and popped off 😭 I’ve never tried to propagate from a clipping before. Does this look like a good candidate? Just set it in a vase of water?

Yes, super easy. And once it has about two inches of roots, you can add to original plant to make fuller or add to a new pot.

5개 좋아요That’s actually what I have done, many times! If I have a stem that is long, like yours, I cut it into maybe several 4 inch pieces; be sure each piece has nodes on it. Then I pop the pieces of stems into water, and voilà… in several weeks, you’ll have some fine, white roots growing! I do remove the leaves that are underwater, because they just get all mushy. I then let the roots on the stems grow to be three or 4 inches long, sometimes longer; it’s not really necessary for them to be quite that long, but it gives them a good start when you plant them. Propping these plants is so easy; good luck! You’re going to have a nice, bushy plant in the end!

4개 좋아요It might be a little late but that limb is perfect for a large root system! I just saw it done with a tomato plant for a massive harvest. You plant it horozontally for a massive root system. I say just go for it and propogate every one of those nodes and let it stick out at the bend.
