Hey propagation pals! My Philo Silver Dust’s next leaf is coming in but got damaged by the store and is barely hanging in by a thread so I’m thinking of chop and prop where I circled. However, I want to be sure a new leaf will come in because this seems to be the kind of plant that comes in one leaf at a time like Hoyas and Pink Princess. If I chop where I circled, where and when will the new leaf come or will it not?

from what i’ve read, you dont want to cut at newest leaf — i’d personally wait until another leaf’s comes out and then cut where you’ve circled (as long as there are nodes)!

Well won’t the newest leaf come out up top of the new “dangling by a thread leaf? This side on the right seems to have been chopped and has stopped growing prior to purchase

And the left side is the sketchy dangle

it would — you don’t want to cut until a leaf actually unfurls and hardens out of what you’re cutting so it doesn’t delay the growth. you could definitely chop now, but the plant will likely just take longer to bounce back

      Thanks for the pro tips!
