Question — what is the best light for propagating plants? Does it depend on the plant, or the propagation method? I’ve seen some sources say to give it as much light as possible, some say keep it in a shady corner. I have a few plants propagating right now — a peperomia hope (in water), a couple of pothos varieties (in water), jade (in soil), tradescantia (in sphagnum moss). I’m fairly new to propagating and still experimenting with different methods, but I want to give them all the best shot at success!

Personally, I just propagate in water. It’ll also depend on the plant. I put mine by a window, but not direct sunlight. I’ve seen others do experiments and have success with perlite or sphagnum moss.
