I’m searching for aphids on new plants so I have been looking at them with a magnifying glass. My summer savory has little bumps on the stems. Are they points from which the stem might propagate? Or some burrowing plant killer?

    Or just bumps?

Too blurry to tell what that is. Aphids can be seen without a magnifying glass like the orange aphids on my photo. They come in white and black too.

Doubtful that it’s a burrowing bug. The pic is way too blurry to tell from that, but if you’re not seeing any visible bugs, it’s more likely to be a node or random bump.
