You can put it directly into water, and it will not cause a problem at all đ„
4 gillningarItâs better to let the cut dry a bit before putting it in water so it doesnât rot. This is the case with large stem plants. Iâve even seen people use a wax melter and dip the end in to seal it. Cinnamon powder on the cut can also keep it from rotting/getting infected. And if you havenât looked anything up make sure thereâs a node on the cutting not just a petiole with a leaf and all that good stuff. âșïž Good luck on your propagation journey!

I always leave the cutting out for at least a night so that it helps prevent rot. Propagating is so fun !

itâs best to let it callus before water so that the water doesnât get into the prop and cause root rot.
