Hi everyone! I bought this Florida philodendron (think it’s a beauty but may be a ghost) rooted cutting back in June. It’s rooted well and still looking healthy but there is literally no sign of any growth. So basically I have just a leaf. Am I being too impatient or is there something I can do to help it grow anything 😂

You may want to repot it in a larger pot so the roots have space to really spread out and grow! I was in a similar situation with my monstera until I gave it a bigger home. Then it grew like crazy!

I have repotted it once as it was in a 7.5cm pot originally. Might have a look at what’s going on under the soil. Just have the phobia that if I upsize too quick I will give it root rot 🫣

The size of the pot has nothing to do with new growth. These are really slow growers and since it’s not a top cutting (where the newest growth starts) it will take even longer. Basically the growth hormone has to change and realize it needs to start somewhere else to continue growing. Give it a fertilizer boost but I always recommend a diluted ‘balanced’ fertilizer. It should bud eventually.

I do fertilise frequently. I doubt a hormone power would help it at all, would it?
