Hello, I’m trying to germinate bread seed poppy seeds indoors in my garage underground lights. I am watering from the bottom only with a little misting but brown fungus keeps taking over my soil around the same time. I start to see tiny green shoots last time the poppies got about an inch tall and then withered and diedmostly turning yellow. How can I avoid over watering but also keeping the soil moist enough so that the seeds germinate I also live in Utah and the humidity in the garage is about 20% thank you.

    For a seed starter tray, you want to use the clear plastic dome that comes with most of those. It keeps in enough humidity without excess watering. As for watering, you can do anywhere from once a day to once every three days depending on temperature. Remember to dump out excess water after bottom-watering; never let the plants sit in a stagnant pool

      Agreed with this and germinate your seeds with humidity as long as there’s condensation in the container no need to mist

      I love those humidity domes. I've often sprouted seeds with no more than the initial watering because of how effective the domes are. 10/10 recommend
