What is the best brand of fertilizer pellets to drop into water props and how many pellets would you drop into a small vial of water like the ones shown in my hanging water vial prop below in the pic? I just ordered Garden Safe Take Root from Amazon as it had many good reviews but I’d rather learn from this community. Thx!

Propagations don’t usually need fertilizer, unless you are planning to keep them in water. If you want to encourage growth, you can add a rooting hormone. Additionally, if you are adding fertilizer, I would add a liquid one because they will blend with the water better.

Someone on here said they were adding water soluble fertilizer pellets to their water props and it was helping a lot, but they didn’t respond to my query asking what brand they used so I thought I’d ask the forums

They actually have root support/propagation drops that I use and have worked wonders. The con is that they are brown and so instead of having the light shine through your clear water, the water will be a dark brown 😩

It is also VERY messy! I transferred some into an old oil dropper to more easily put into my propagations
