How long has it taken for your guys satin pothos to root ? 🥲 she’s been in water for weeks now and I recently placed another pothos cutting in with her this past week. She doesn’t look to be wilting or dying she actually looks better than when I first placed her in water.

I think a few of my cuttings took like 2 months, even with hormones. They can be really slow rooters in water

Ok thanks ! Yeah I remember seeing somewhere they are slow as molasses when rooting but 😅 have you repotted yours and the leaves curled ? The rest of my pot hasn’t settled since the repot 🥲

The leaves on scindapsus are prone to curling. But watering it well after a repot can help

I did water it good ! I think I just messed with the roots too much ?

Try planting pieces in different mixes. Put some in water, soil, perlite, sphagnum moss, and Leca. Add rooting hormone powder or liquid. Place under a grow light or in bright indirect sunlight.🪴🍀

My scindapsus (different variety, not the one in this post) was curling when I purchased it. I could tell Lowe's overwatered him. Ive been trying different things, but not all the leaves have flattened out. I'm about to repot him. He's now outside instead of under a grow lamp, and I saw lots of improvement after this move. The cuttings have been in water 2 weeks and nothing yet. But IDC. I got time! 🤷🏽‍♀️🤣

If you have a tradescantia or wandering Jew, put a clipping of that in with it. Tradescantia have crazy rooting hormones and help with rooting.

🤔 Heard that about pothos, but not tradescantia. I have several cuttings in water that need to repot. Perhaps I'm stealing one to put with my cuttings.

@bri I talked too soon. Looked at my acindapsus cuttings a short while ago, and behold! 🤣 Roots that I did NOT see a couple of days ago! But most of the cuttings in there have none. Just 2 of 6 cuttings have roots. IDC. I still got time. 🤷🏽‍♀️😆

My cuttings have honestly took a month or two to finally grow. The leaves would shrivel up and turn yellow and I would just clip them off, put them in fertilizer water and tell them “you’re either going to survive with me or give up😂”. Eventually I was able to grow 2 out of 3 cuttings and pot them but there’s always one that just dies unfortunately. A trick I just learned is seal the bottom of the leaves with wax or glue to prevent rotting!
